Federal Litigation, I-9 Compliance & Additional Immigration Services

The Immigration Practice Group at Packman, Neuwahl & Rosenberg also provides additional immigration services. These services include federal litigation, such as mandamus actions, which compel the federal government to adjudicate a case within a reasonable timeframe. For cases in which the government has not acted and processed the case within a reasonable time, this may be an appropriate remedy. We also represent clients in appeals to the federal court.

The Immigration Practice Group at Packman, Neuwahl & Rosenberg also helps companies prepare or respond to I-9 compliance audits from the Department of Labor. The U.S. Department of Labor have recently increased their efforts to promote and ensure I-9 compliance on the part of employers. Noncompliance can result in heavy fines, forfeiture of company assets, and even imprisonment. Our team can guide companies in training HR personnel in best practices for maintaining compliance as well as working with companies that have been audited to respond in the most effective way possible.

We also provide additional immigration services as needed based on our clients’ needs.

Our services include:

  • Mandamus actions in federal court
  • Appeals to the federal court
  • Internal Audits of Existing I-9 Forms
  • Reviewing and Correcting Mistakes on Existing I-9 Forms
  • Responding to Government Audits
  • HR Policy and Procedures Training

To complement the above services, our Immigration Practice Group also handles employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, and citizenship.
