Meet Barrie Erasmous

Barrie Erasmous is a Shareholder at Packman, Neuwahl & Rosenberg, and she focuses her practice in the area of U.S. income taxation, international and domestic estate planning, and U.S. corporate matters, including the U.S. income tax rules applicable to U.S. taxpayers doing business abroad, as well as to non-U.S. persons passively investing in the U.S. or looking to invest in more active business opportunities within the United States. As part of her practice, Barrie works with multi-cultural clients, their families, family offices, and their companies to structure their investments inside and outside of the US and provide related U.S. tax advice and also assists them in understanding their obligations in connection with the global exchange of information such as FATCA. She also assists with international trust planning, including advising the settlors, beneficiaries, and trustees with respect to the possible U.S. tax matters that may apply to them.

In the community, Barrie is active with her children’s education and serves as the Board President at one her children’s schools. During law school, Barrie was an active participant in University of Miami Law School’s Center for Ethics and Public Service and a member of the International and Comparative Law Review. After graduating the LL.M. program, Barrie worked as an attorney for the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, Large and Midsize Business Division.
